Il Falconiere is situated in a quiet, elevated, rural location amid
vineyards and olive groves.
Internal walls which have been frescoed restored and original
furniture’s and four-poster beds all come together to create the
sensation of a family home. The 19 rooms charmingly furnished with every
comfort respect the style of the location; some situated in the Main
Villa and others adjacent in the small Chapel of San Girolamo and the
rest in the Dependence, just 250 meters from the restaurant - Satellite
TV, private mini-bar, safe box, air conditioning and heating, private
bathroom, and telephone.
It enjoys enviable views of the Val di Chiana to the west, and the
beautiful Cortona, the ancient Etruscan billtown, just 3 Km to the
south. The place is ideally located for shorts trips to some of the most
famous art cities of central Italy, such as Arezzo, Montepulciano and
Montalcino area, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto all within an hour’s
drive away.
Il Falconiere is easily accessible by car from the major Italian cities
and airport. Il Falconiere was once the home of Antonio Guadagnoli, a
famous poet from nearby Arezzo who lived here for 10 years until his
death in 1854. The original buildings which date back to the 1600 were
recently restored to their former glory. |
